The market research firm, ComScore, has published new data regarding search volume on the internet. According to the release, 61 billion search queries were entered by more than 750 million internet users worldwide, roughly 60% of which were registered with Google and its video-portal YouTube. Places 2 and 3 belong to Yahoo! (with about 14% of all search queries) and the Chinese search engine Baidu.com (5%). Internet users in Latin America and Europe are above the world average 81 search queries, with 86 and 86, respectively. They are followed closely by Asia-Pacific and North American users with 78 and 77 average registered search queries. The lowest numbers fell to Africa and the Middle East.
